When I moved from South Carolina to Brooklyn, I realized that more people enjoy eating out than cooking at home. Eating out so much made me want to change my lifestyle choices and become healthier. Being in the city made it easy to make the switch to being vegan, but I also felt like I was missing out on some food and desserts that I'd always loved.
This inspired me to learn more about food and how I could create the things that I've always loved, just without the harmful preservatives and with healthier ingredients. This also inspired me to start making most of my meals from scratch; that way, I know that only the freshest produce and natural ingredients go into what I make.
It is my mission to show the world that vegan versions of the treats that I grew up eating can be just as delicious, but be healthier and cruelty free.
